During the 2008-2009 baseball season, the Howard College Hawks won a record 57 straight games. This includes every kind of college from DI, DII, major college or junior college. They also won the NJCAA National Championship. They went 54-0 during the regular season. The closest another team came happened years ago with a 28-0 finish to the regular season. That team got beat in the playoffs and didn't win the title either. The Hawks led the nation in hitting and in fielding. They produced three All-Americans and that's not including the World Series MVP.
They trailed going into the last inning only once during the regular season and had 37 games stopped early because of the "run rule" taking effect. This book is a must read for baseball purists. It's unbelievable, yet true!.
