The last decade has witnessed a resurgence of scholarly interest in the Office of Strategic Services, encouraged in part by the large-scale declassification of its records during the 1990s. The organization remains a rare example of a modern intelligence agency whose internal documentation is almost entirely available to the public through the U.S. National Archives.
