Sandra K. Sagala, an independent researcher and historian, and has written two books about Buffalo Bill Cody: Buffalo Bill on Stage details his theatrical career and Buffalo Bill on the Silver Screen describes his foray into movie-making after the failure of his Wild West show. She has also written several articles, including "Buffalo Bill Cody v. Doc Carver: The Battle Over the Wild West," "Mark Twain and Buffalo Bill Cody: Mirrored Through a Glass Darkly," and "When 'the Man that Never Missed His Mark' Missed." She also co-authored Alias Smith and Jones: the Story of Two Pretty Good Bad Men with JoAnne Bagwell. She lives in Pennsylvania.
