The ideas contained in this book - some frivolous, some serious, some downright existential - cover an agreeable range, from politics to the Paleolithic; from authoritarianism to empathy; from body language to breasts. Some great minds are references - Hofstadter, Bradbury, Kierkegaard - and a coalescence around the core of human nature will be faintly detectable to the alert reader.
