Greyscale Edition -Giovanni Alberto Triano, a Brooklyn native, is known to his fans as Johnny A-Train. Johnny is the leader of The Loco-Motions, a Big Band based out of New Orleans. He, the band, and the band's torch singer, Delilah Jones are the modern-day counterparts of the Zoot-suit swing bands of the post-War era. Mister A-Train, however, is a graduate of Julliard and is at home with the music world's elite, as well as the street musicians he meets globe-trotting with his band. During his travels he finds himself drawn into situations that require him to act like his hero Bogart did when portraying detective Sam Spade in the classic old black & white movies. He quotes Bogart's famous movie lines often, while imitating Bogey's delivery. In keeping with Johnny's showbiz persona, the stories are broken into scenes, with each scene bearing the title of a popular song that relates to the action. Look for: "A Hard Day's Night", "Boy From New York City", and "With A Little Help From My Friends", to name a few.
His first adventure, "Dance Me To Death" (Jitterbug, Lindy Hop, and Homicide), reveals his sleuthing abilities as he solves the murder of four young girls committed during his shows. Other story titles are:"Dancer, Prancer, And A Vixen" (Murder in the Arctic Circle)"Waltz On The Wild Side" (Violence in Vienna)"Jazz, Jail, & Julliard" (Murder & Theft of a Stradivarius)"Bridge Out Of Brooklyn" (The Death of Little Rose)Come on in for a colorful romp through the music world as told through the adventures of:ïŠï¯ï¨ï®ï®ï¹ï€ ïï€ï”ï²ï¡ï©ï®ï€ ï€ ï€ï€ Musical Mysteries.
