Kitty & DIno is not the typical graphic novel for children. Largely devoid of text, the illustrations guide the story. Like Raymond Briggs classic The snowman, Sara Richard uses her imagery to tell a story that will teach children to 'read' images in a sequential format as they might read text, and the format will also make it accessible to an even wider range of children and readers.
