The reason Mac knows is that they are being used and a few of them are discovered.Marion has her work cut out for her this time. She's in a race against time. The longer it takes to find the gunsmith making them, the more they will be used. Moreover, it seems every time she turns over a rock, she finds another one of the things. This of course, is usually after it is used on someone.

It would be nice if Marion could turn her full attention to finding the gunsmith, but she already has a full schedule. Maybe she could put off some of her clients, but which ones. The only clients she has are those that are already very desperate.Besides this, she's trying to maintain something of a social life.
