Scott A. Reed was born in 1950 and was raised in Aurora, Illinois. In 1968 he left Illinois for good and moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin where he attended the University of Wisconsin and earned a bachelor's degree in Philosophy with a minor in Religious Experience.He met his wife, Mary in 1969, in a taxi cab outside the dormitory where they both lived while attending college. Mary and Scott were married after graduation in Oshkosh in 1973. They moved to Waupaca, Wisconsin where Mary gave birth to three children; one girl and two boys. Scott attended the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point from 1981-1983 where he earned a second bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Business Administration. In 1985 he accepted a programmer/analyst position with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) of Dallas, Texas which was then owned by Ross Perot and later sold to General Motors.
In 1987, Scott accepted a senior network security analyst position with Kimberly-Clark Corporation, which is headquartered in Dallas Texas. In 2007 Scott retired early from Kimberly-Clark at the age of 57 and moved to a newly built log cabin on the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage (reservoir) near Springstead, Wisconsin in order to pursue writing and publishing.Scott is an avid researcher and book worm. He writes extensively on the subjects of personal development, self-improvement, and success, in order to help others solve problems and lead fulfilling lives. His special research interests include the mind, natural laws, and universal laws.Scott's recreational interests include game fishing, wilderness camping, hiking, biking, and snowmobiling.
