This work opens up new perspectives on the problem of bullying and its alleviation. It argues that the causes arise not just in schools but in the wider community. Examining families, homes and the culture of local communities, it maps out new, integrated strategies that involve schools and their communities in creating more comprehensive and effectibe strategies to combat the scourge that afflicts many thousands of young people and adults.
