Fashions in the Treatment of Packaging Waste : An Economic Analysis of the Swedish Producer Responsibility Legislation
"This study contains a critical review of the Swedish producer responsibility legislation related to discarded packaging materials and newspapers, magazines, and selected other kinds of paper waste. The major finding of this analysis is that this legislation is exceedingly inefficient and that it imposes a considerable burden on society for little benefit in terms of environmental improvements. This book endeavors to destroy the romantic notion that recycling is a good thing, of itself a benefit to society not quantifiable in mere monetary terms.".
