Gary W. Priester graduated from the Art Center College of Design and worked for fifteen years as an advertising art director in Los Angeles, and San Francisco.For twelve years, Priester and his wife Mary Carter ran The Black Point Group, a graphic design company located in the South of Market district of San Francisco.For over twenty years, Priester and Gene Levine have created hidden image 3D stereograms for publication and for advertising and graphic design companies.Gary W. Priester lives in Placitas, New Mexico in the northern escarpment of the Sandia Mountain Range with his wife Mary Carter and their two cats: Chloe and Sophie.
