Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman founded Lotus Cars in 1952 after having started his career at the British Aluminium Company. Under his direction Team Lotus won seven Formula One Constructors titles, six Driver's Championships and the Indianapolis 500 between 1962 and 1978.
