Introduced in 1939, the Bedford OB is a bus and coach chassis designed to carry up to twenty-nine passengers. Although only seventy-three were produced before the outbreak of the Second World War, production was restarted after the end of the war and continued until 1951 with more than 12,000 chassis produced, making the OB one of the most popular buses of its type ever. The OB was primarily used on country services and became part of the background for many of those who grew up in rural Britain during the 1950s and 1960s. In this book, bus photographer and Bedford OB enthusiast Martin Perry takes a look at the Bedford OB.
