Most of us are familiar with the somewhat clichéd, What Would Jesus Do? This phrase took on particular popularity a few years ago and while it helped teach us to think about how Jesus would react to everyday situations and feelings we encounter in life, Bill Perkins in this book offers a great deal more than an answer to the WWJD question. Perkins manages to weave wild tales of heartache and letdowns with a thread of comedy and joy, despite the circumstances he is describing. His writing style is easy to read and truly engaging. He effectively challenges the reader of this book, to take a moment, to look at the situations they are in through a different lens, through the eyes of Christ. Here there are simple tools that will help all discover how to become more like Jesus in faith, character and relationships in this beautifully written book. The Jesus Experiment and accompanying 12 session study will take you on a journey to the abundant life we've always wanted, though I would have appreciated more about the John 10v10, from the scriptural manifesto, rare and deeply applicable. More than a book, it's an invitation for truthful feelings, thoughts, words, and actions in the pattern of Jesus. Each segment will cause the purity of focus on a different aspect of Jesus' life, including how he faced his fears, how he talked with God, and how he helped others.
