This is an easy-to-read book suited to anyone with an interest in angelology and demonology, but has full scholarly notes to primary sources. Watchers were a class of angel who came to earth and taught weapons, spell potions, root cuttings, astrology, astronomy and alchemies to the humans living on earth. Some of the Watchers slept with human women. For this they were thrown into Tartarus. Nephilim were the progeny of the Watchers and the human women. Greek mythology speaks of gigantes being thrown into Tartarus. Gigantes is the word which the Septuagint (the ancient Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible dated to the 3rd to 2nd centuries BCE) uses to translate the Hebrew word "Nephilim," and is translated into English as "Giants." Idioms such as the mistranslation "sons of God," which have rightly confused those who have no knowledge of ancient languages, are explained fully.

The book avoids theological pontificating and ramblings, and adheres instead to actual evidence.
