David has recently lost his mother. He struggles with his thoughts and feelings in the wake of bereavement and his overwhelming sense of guilt. This short story(?) is a monologue, a jumbled representation of what crosses his mind as he tries to reconcile his past actions towards his paranoid schizophrenic and now deceased mother.
