I blame Kevin Duckworth, he dangled the carrot of the Snowdonia Marathon a couple of years ago and it just had to be done. Raced, ticked off and added to the C.V. One of the toughest races the UK has to offer, iconic, classic and bastard hard. A little frightening, a little awe inspiring, a race to come back with stories from, the one to show I can be as hard as nails as the rest of them. If the marathon distance wasn't hard enough let's throw a big hill in there somewhere and add the lottery of Welsh weather just for good measure. With a handful of races at this distance under my belt I felt ready, respecting the distance but capable with a little work.bring it on.
