The study and characterization of extrasolar planets, or exoplanets, is an exciting fieldthat brings together different disciplines from astronomy, physics and chemistry. Severalopen questions remain in respect to the stability of determining the exoplanet orbitalperiod and temperature. The latter study is further complicated by possible variationsin the exoplanet surface or atmospheric reflection and emission.
