G. NERI is the author of ten books for young people, including the Coretta Scott King honor-winning graphic novel, Yummy. In 2017, he was the recipient of a National Science Foundation Artists and Writers Program grant that took him to Antarctica for almost two months. He joined a second NSF Antarctic grant for this project, working with a team of paleontologists whose search for dinosaurs and lost forests at the bottom of the world resulted in a large format film named Dinosaurs of Antarctica, a traveling exhibition called Antarctic Dinosaurs, and this comic. Neri continues to lecture on Antarctica around the country and is expanding this comic into a full-length graphic novel with Corban.
