Skailor is a missionary kid fresh out of Africa, thrown into the suburban jungle of Metro Detroit. Skye can handle lions or crocodiles no problem, but the predator she encounters in her new habitat is far more bloodthirsty: her cousin, Gabby. Skye is content to fade into the obscurity of public high school, but the tall, dark, and brooding Kael has other ideas.
