"Heroes come in all sorts, even ones that don't seem especially heroic to begin with. A cowardly thief and his executioner brother; a runaway heir and her assassin companion. A kidnapped princess and duped shepherd. A confused spy and a fighting leper. Not the stuff of legends, perhaps, but certainly a varied bunch. Perhaps this particular world could do better, but we just have to work with what we're given. Under the circumstances, I think I can make it work. All that's left to do now is overturn a council of corrupt generals and travel halfway across the world.
