Andrew Murray was an eighteenth-century South African Pastor of the Dutch Reform Church, an educator, and a lifelong author of more than 240 Christian books, tracts, and sermons. Many of them remain Christian classics and continue to be popular and read worldwide. He was born May 9th, 1898, in Graff Reinet, in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, one of the oldest towns in South Africa. Reverend Murray's numerous works share an abiding love for Christ, the power of the blood of Jesus, and the comfort, counsel, and companionship of the Holy Spirit. Popular books are "Abide in Christ," "With Christ in the School of Prayer," "Absolute Surrender," and "The Deeper Christian Life," among many others. Reverend Murray died on January 18, 1917. He was 88 years old when he passed away in Wellington, South Africa.
