Gary Muldoon has decades of legal experience as a lawyer, teacher, and legal author. His areas of practice include criminal and civil appeals, as well as family law, mediation, professional responsibility, criminal law, and estate law. He has argued before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the New York Court of Appeals. Mr. Muldoon teaches as an adjunct professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, including courses in family law and civil procedure, as well as with college paralegal programs.Throughout his legal career, Mr. Muldoon has been a prolific writer. He originated and annually updates Handling a Criminal Case in New York, which is used by judges, DA offices, and attorneys throughout New York.


Drawn from his own experience, Mr. Muldoon wrote The Education of a Lawyer, published by the ABA, a guide for young attorneys, and coauthored various other books, along with contributing hundreds of articles on legal issues. His most recent book, Handling a Family Law Case in New York, is in wide use in law offices.Mr. Muldoon has volunteered as a judge in mock trial and moot court competitions, and is a frequent speaker at bar association seminars.
