Officer Paul Lee has been on the Waverly police force his entire working life. Now, nearing retirement, he finds he's lived a lonely life filled with regrets. Having seen the worst that humanity has to offer, he lives in fear and distrust, not liking the man he's become. In the course of a murder investigation, he learns of an experimental drug that reverses aging. The possibility of living a new life, the life he wants, looms in front of him. Worried that he'll live the same life he's lived before, he seeks help by joining multiple workshops being held across the country to free himself from his fears, freeing him to follow a new path. At one of his self-help classes, he meets Marge, a widow. He knows their connection is something very special, but soon he'll be much younger than she is.
