As a big C.S. Lewis fan, I think The Secret Slide series really depicts a modern day Narnia. The second instalment is even better than the first book - we're getting to explore now! I absolutely loved The Garden of Sweets story. I really enjoyed the character development, particularly with the Moon Witch (my favourite character!). I can't wait for the next book to be released right in time for Christmas - I've already pre-ordered mine! Absolutely fantastic book with great stories and beautiful hand drawn art. You're bound to love it and your kids will get attached to the characters! Ongoing series, so there's always something to look forward to when the next book comes out.
