Linda (Dysart) Moore was born in Union City, TN December 29, 1948. Ms. Moore attended public schools in Union City and was the first of four African-American students to integrate Union City High School in 1964 and one of two African-American students to graduate from UCHS in 1966. She attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL where she received a bachelors degree in education.The author is married to her husband of 42 years and they have three children and four grandchildren She is currently an adult education instructor and resides in Western Kentucky.
