This book presents original research based on five decades of evidence-based science. Included is a presentation of a neuroscience pilot study involving 30 patients (16 female - 14 male) who have experienced: Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma, anxiety, depression, and Substance Use Disorder (SUD). These conditions and symptoms are actually the underlying causes of addiction, also known as Substance Use Disorder (SUD). The sample involved men and women, from all walks of life. Their substance abuse choices: alcohol, heroin, cocaine, meth, marijuana, and prescription medications. Many had judicial cases. All who were on prescription medications were addicted to their meds. It was noted that the side effects of the psychotropic meds were at least 5 negative side effects, with a predominant side effect of suicidal ideation.

The purpose of this study was to assist suffering patients to achieve an optimally functioning brain, with no medications. As our physician assisted the patients with medication titration, they were supplemented with a neuroscience product simultaneously, and each patient received a series of. LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System) Therapy, which stimulates the 21 Standard EEG sites of the brain to create new neural pathways, allowing the brain waves (alpha, delta, theta, and beta) to function effectively. The patients also participated in a myriad of adjunct evidence-based therapies.
