Calvin Miller has served in the United States Navy for 11 years. He was actively involved in the Navy's 'Boots on the Ground,' 'Iraqi Freedom,' and 'Operation Enduring Freedom' initiatives overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a proud military veteran, but his heart is knitted with the things of God. Calvin graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School where he also met his wife Helen. He has been happily married to Helen since February 22, 2006, and blessed with two beautiful daughters, Destiny and Neveah, and a recent addition, his son Calvin Jr. Calvin is the founder of 1Team1Fight Ministries, which is saturated with discipleship principles within the community. Each one, Reach one, so that you may Teach one is the principle he follows with his entire being.
Calvin has been involved as minister for more nearly a decade and currently sits under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Gene Johnson and Lady Gail Johnson of Pleasant Hill Church of Deliverance in LaPorte, TX & Divine Connection Church of Katy. He serves in homeless ministry at the Star of Hope Women and Family Shelter and prison ministry with Truth & Compassion Ministry. Additionally, he is also committed to praying every Tuesday on Clocking in with God Prayer line via social media. He also initiated several community prayer marches in the Greater Houston Area, including the annual 'March In March' which started out as an annual prayer outreach, but Houston Police Chief Acevedo has pushed for 1Team1Fight Ministries to host it on a quarterly basis. Calvin has active platforms in place to help bridge the gap between the police, the community and the church. His heart is to serve and work with kingdom minded people who are doing kingdom minded things.
