Dennis McTighe founded Story Pocket Books to share his love of storytelling with young readers (and the young at heart). The name is inspired by his grandchildren. As small children, they would invariably climb into his lap when they would visit and reach into his shirt pocket (the story pocket) to pick out the story of the day. Though the stories may involve mystical creatures and fairytale settings, the life lessons that they contain have an actual application in our world. Louisville, Kentucky is where Dennis calls home. He lives there with his trusted companion, a white Labrador retriever, Maggie.
