She has always loved poetry and in the past several years, since retiring from the medical field, has been discovering many different forms. She has compiled 64 unusual forms into two instructional books: The Nooce (sic) and Other Fun Poetry, and The Blues and Other Fun Poetry. She's is promoting her book of Japanese forms -- Haiku - Snapshots of Life, which contains Haiku and Haiga, and Tanka-Senryu-Sedoka. Then she divided of the Snapshots of Life into 2 separate books for people who may not want to digest it all at one time. These books are called separately: Haiku and Haiga, and Tanka-Senryu-Sedoka. These books can be found at local boutiques and on Amazon and other sites. Since becoming a great grandma, she has had three children's books with companion coloring books published: Arthur the Amazing Ant, Billy the Beneficial Bumble Bee, and The Many Moods of Cherie the Chatty Caterpillar. In progress now is, Diana the Diaphanous Dragonfly.
Last but not least her cat has also thrown his paw into writing and has been successful in marketing his book; The Cat's Meow - How to Choose and Train Your Human. His nom de plume is Sir K. Harlequin.She also enjoys photography, music, gardening, dancing, movies, and reading. Her poetry is published in various publications and numerous anthologies. Her photography has been displayed at Latrobe Art Center and each year it is featured in the Loyalhanna Review.She also does layout and design, some editing, and book covers for other authors.
