Kathleen McDonnell makers her living writing in a variety of genres, from playwriting to junior fiction to social criticism. Besides her many books, she writes articles and opinion pieces for the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Chatelaine, Maclean's, and Utne Reader, and also contributes to CBC Radio and Canada AM. Her plays have been produced throughout Canada. McDonnell lives and works in Toronto.
