When Nathan meets Rose, it seems as if all of the writing on the wall suggests that they are perfect for each other. After they begin dating, however, it becomes clear to Nathan that the realities of their relationship might not be as picturesque as he might have initially imagined, thus giving him reason to begin questioning just what it is that he truly wants for himself.
