I grew up in a family of nine, the oldest boy among three brothers and three sisters. We always had plenty of work to do. To feed seven kids, one thing that we had to do was raise a garden to help feed us all. I grew up in a strong Christian home, and my father and mother always told me to take pride in the work I do. I learned many things from the wisdom that my father and mother have taught me, and I have used those same principles that they have taught me to teach my own children. As a kid, I grew up and learned and grew older. And the older I got, the more I learned. I graduated from college with a bachelor?s degree in theology.
Through the years of work, God has shown me many things, and about nine years ago, I met the very special one that God had for me. I have a wonderful wife, Courtney, and two wonderful children, Joanna and James, that I love dearly. One of the things that I enjoy most is being both a father and a husband to my family, the great blessing that God gives me every day. Family has always been real important to me, and I grow every day from the wisdom that I get from my Heavenly Father that he has shown me in my life. For the past year, in writing this book, God has encouraged me, given me a greater fire to serve him every day, and I look forward to what God has for me in the future.
