Mark (Marcus) Mann is a former Police Operations Chief, an award winning teacher, facilitator, humorist, and speaker; specializing in peak performance, leadership, creating change, and problem-solving. He was recently recognized as the Collegiate Instructor of the Year and completed his second book, Risk: Profiles, Predictions, and Prevention, Amazon.com, Pearson Publishing. After 22 years of policing, Marcus became the Principal for Sound Predictions.com, a premier consulting & coaching company. His coaching and problem-solving career started in 1980 as a US Army Peace Officer assigned to (then) West Germany where he worked closely with Americans and EU Diplomats. Marcus worked side-by-side with German and Eastern officials on a daily basis, mutually solving hot situations and mediating conflict between Americans and NATO representatives. Marcus continued his career track in Washington with over 20 years as an Advanced Trainer, Hostage Negotiations Team Leader, and Media Spokesperson; all in the role of Peace Officer.


He was eventually hired as the Project Supervisor for the State Law Enforcement Academy, guiding the teaching cadre and facilitating instruction for over 2000 Peace Officers, managers, and executives.Marcus graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, where studied Organizational Behavior, Employment Law, and completed the Investigative Psychology Program. He also graduated from the Washington State Police Academy, which he gladly returned to help reorganize 15 years later.Marcus has a passion for the outdoors and his two dogs; Spirit and Pepe. Spirit is a gentle Golden Retriever rescue and Pepe is an AKC registered Chocolate Lab, responsible for about $5000 dollars in joyful damage to his house. Both dogs accompany Marcus during his passions; hiking, training trips, and boating on the waters of Puget Sound. Marcus Mann has worked a successful speaking, teaching, and comical platform throughout the United States and internationally in Bogota (2009), Montreal (2008), Germany, London (2004), Medellin (2009), and Regina, Saskatchewan and more. He calls his home the beautiful Puget Sound region of Washington and his second home Kona, Hawaii.
