Jessica Maguire's popular Vagus Nerve masterclasses and programs help people get to the cause of their problems, rather than just relying on others to treat their symptoms. These programs empower participants with their own nervous system toolkit filled with effective, evidence-based techniques. They provide a framework to understand the different responses of the nervous system, and how to engage with it rather than being overwhelmed by emotions and physical sensations. Jessica worked for thirteen years in private practice as a physiotherapist, helping people with chronic pain. Through her clinical experience in neurology and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and her previous study into how heart rate variability affects the brain, she was fascinated by neuroscience and the potential for the brain and nervous system to change. Jessica has studied neurophysiology throughout Europe, America, the UK and Australia. She has learnt from pain researchers, professors in neuroplasticity, neuroscientists and psychologists on how the brain and nervous system change from stress, trauma and chronic pain. Her postgraduate study has led to further qualifications in clinical mindfulness, trauma-sensitive biofeedback, polyvagal theory and the use of transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation.
