Manchán Magan is a writer and documentary-maker. He is the author of Thirty-Two Worlds for Field, Listen to the Land Speak, Tree Dogs and Banshee Fingers and Wolf-Men and Water Hounds. He writes occasionally for The Irish Times, reports on travel for various radio programmes, and has presented dozens of documentaries on issues of world culture for TG4, RTÉ and the Travel Channel. He lives in an oak wood, with bees, hens and veg, in a slightly confused house with a grass roof near Lough Lene, Co. Westmeath. Steve Doogan is a renowned illustrator known for his vibrant, dynamic artwork. His imaginative style has appeared in books, packaging, and exhibitions for over two decades. This is his third children's book with Manchán Magan.
