John became a believer in 1985 after an encounter with God at a Church of Scotland Service in Glasgow (U.K.) He has served as Pastor at two churches in Staffordshire (England)and Glasgow (Scotland). In addition he has been involved in and led prophetic ministry, healing ministry as well as having served in various leadership roles in local church. In 2005 he had an encounter with the Lord which had a profound effect upon him. After a process with God he heard the Lord call him 'Son' and that encounter (which is ongoing) has revolutionised his whole life and ministry. John is convinced that Sonship, living as Jesus did, is the call and core of Christian life. Jesus only did what he did out of his relationship with His Father (John 3:16; John 5:19; John 14:10) and if we want to be like Jesus then it is important for us to live in the same relationship with Father as Jesus did.

In fact it is the Father's desire to conform us to the image of his son (Romans 8:28, 29) and it is something HE does (Philippians 2:13) through an ongoing outpouring of love into our hearts.
