Gordon MacLeod is a Scottish author who was brought up on the Isle of Arran, but now lives in Merseyside.He has published five novels, the latest of those, 'Carrot Toppers', has just been released on paperback.He has also produced work for the following publications: the Action on Elder Abuse Bulletin, Rostrum, Life and Work Magazine, and the Communist Review.His first novel, 'Silicon Glen', was published by Tartan Moon in July 2009.As a humorous Adventure story based on the Isle of Arran, it focussed on environmental threats to the island.His second novel, '76', was published in July 2011, and retold the story of the Clearances that affected a small community on Arran, taking the reader on a jaunt across some other notable parts of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.It was given good reviews in both the United Kingdom and in the United States.'Just a Little Drop More', was his third novel which was released in July 2012.
It revealed a more serious side to his writing and focussed on the theme of inhumane and degrading treatment of vulnerable people in society. His fourth, 'Beyond the Tree at Mamre', a controversial novel dealt with issues related to sexuality and Christian faith.Gordon has also written a Three Act Play, '44(1)(b)', and a Screenplay/Film Script called, 'Molios'.
