John 3:3 (NKJV) 3 Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:5-8 (NKJV) 5 Jesus answered, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ''You must be born again.'' 8 the wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit. Matthew 19:16 (NKJV) 16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life? Heaven I''m going to first start with the one question Why is there no phrase ''go to Heaven'' in the Bible? Besides this is still a shocking discovery! This I think will help clear up some misconceptions that you may have. Then we can move on to investigate these other terms we discovered and what they are or mean.
Once finished with this we can move back to the main outline. Where did this phrase ''go to Heaven'' come from? It''s not in the Bible! the first place I heard about it was in the Church when I was about 8 years old. It is mainly taught as follows: If you believe in Jesus you will go to Heaven! When was this phrase introduced by the church? Way back in Church History origin not yet known. Why is this phrase used in the Church? It''s based from a false teaching. I know this because it''s not in the Bible. Think a bit with me on answering the Why question. Going to Heaven is referring to us dying and then going to Heaven after our death. the Church teaches that you can''t go to Heaven till you die on Earth.
Therefore we must all die and then find out if we either go to Heaven or Hell. Sometimes the Church uses the phrase eternal life to also mean that we go to Heaven. Later we will see the false hood in that teaching as well. So is it true that we must die in order to learn if we go to Heaven? Add that question to our outline. I''m going to get an answer to this question: So is it true that we must die in order to learn if we go to Heaven? Nowhere in the Bible is this taught. There are some verses that seem to say this but they are misread or construed. When did this false doctrine show up in the Church? I don''t know the answer yet to that question. Who teaches this false doctrine? - the Church not the Bible.
How is this doctrine taught? - By misconstruing verses of scripture that seem to suggest this doctrine. When examining these seeming verses which we shall do, you will see that the verses don''t even suggest this false doctrine. In conclusion I have answered this one question which immediately clears up ideas that the Church put in my thinking. You don''t go to Heaven after you die because there is no such thing taught in the Bible. False Doctrine: After we die is when we learn if we go to Heaven or Hell. So what is the truth? How do people make it into Heaven? And another point to consider is that where do you go once you die on Earth? What is the Bible really teaching us about Heaven? Add these to our outline. False Doctrine: When you die you either go to Heaven or Hell. Bible Truth: You don''t go to Heaven after you die because there is no such thing taught in the Bible.
Entering into the Kingdom of God I''m first going to study the phrase ''enter into the Kingdom of God'' because that is mentioned several times and it seems to deal somewhat with my original question how do you end up in Heaven? What is entering the kingdom of God? John 3:5 (NKJV) 5 Jesus answered, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. I did a little research in the Greek to see is I could find anything dealing with this phrase. I did find that the more accurate translation is to enter into the Kingdom of God. In the Greek enter into means: It is to become partaker of; to go in and possess. This use of ''enter into'' is not future tense. It is present tense. Enter into is used in many other verses that describes that a person is entering into at the present. So the meaning is telling us that we enter into the Kingdom of God now in the present.
With this bit of information we learn that we can at the present now of time enter into the Kingdom of God. If we are waiting to die to enter into the Kingdom of God as the Church is telling us then that becomes a false doctrine. We don''t wait till we die to enter the Kingdom of God. In truth the only time that we can enter the Kingdom of God is during this life time. So now I will look at other scriptures to see if entering into Gods Kingdom is for the here and now. The Bible Truth: We can enter into God''s Kingdom at any time during our Earthly life. The Bible Truth: the kingdom of God is obtainable now The Bible Truth: the kingdom of God is not something we strive to obtain in the future. The Bible Truth: We can be rejected from the kingdom of Heaven even though we are in the kingdom of God.
