Nineteen year old Karen Scott has just seen off her American boyfriend, Tom, after their idyllic weekend at an all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay when suddenly she is grabbed from behind and propelled into a moving car. Three armed men whisk her out of the city to a house in the remote hills of St. James where she will be held for ransom of five million dollars. Knowing that she has no one able to pay that sum Karen realizes that she will not come out of this alive. The leader of the three, Danny, had other ideas though and forces her to call Tom. But Karen is devastated when Tom declines claiming that she is part of a conspiracy to pull a scam on him. Danny then suggests that another of Karen's phone contacts, Bernie Rose is a rich philanthropist and may come to her rescue. The call is made and Bernie agrees to Karen's delight .

She pledges eternal gratitude to her savior. But she will soon learn that her troubles are just beginning for Bernie was the mastermind behind her abduction.
