Included are 2 indexes, a Direct index sorted alphabetically by Grantor (seller), and a Reverse index sorted by Grantee (buyer).This book also includes invaluable information not included in the official Deed Book indexes prepared by the county's Register of Deeds. In addition to Grantor, Grantee, Book and Page Number, the indexes in this publication also include: -the Kind of Instrument recorded (deed, trust deed, bill of sale, deed of gift, marriage contract, power of attorney, etc.) -the Year in which the transaction took place (which may have been years before it was recorded in the Deed Book)-the number of Acres involved in land transactions-a Description of the location of the land, items in the bill of sale, etc. This includes the names of watercourses mentioned in deeds, and the names and ages of slaves mentioned in bills of sale.
