Jim Lindsay was born in Corvallis, Oregon, in 1947. He was raised on a farm that sustained him, his parents, and his brother, Bob. After eight years of education in a two-room grade school, he attended and graduated from Albany Union High School. A stint in the Navy Reserve and a year and a half of college were followed by 42 years of farming. He has two children, Caralee and Jake, and a girlfriend, Kathie. Jim became a writer late in life, but not without enthusiasm. Swerve: The Little Bastards 2 is a sequel to the novel The Little Bastards. He lives with his dog, Ruby, on the same farm where he was raised.

He's a hot rodder, drag racer, and lifetime member of the Bonneville 200 MPH Club.
