Dr. James Lindholm is the James W. Rote Distinguished Professor of Marine Science and Policy and the Director of the Institute for Applied Marine Ecology (IfAME) at California State University Monterey Bay. James has conducted research on marine ecosystems around the world, from the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans, to the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Red Seas. He has also helped to draft a Presidential Executive Order, briefed both the Senate and House of Representatives, and regularly works in California¿s state capitol. James¿ diverse writing portfolio includes textbooks, peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, and action/adventure novels.
