Poet, writer, playwright, and journalist, Jose Jorge Letria has written numerous books, especially for children and young people, since 1973. He is the recipient of many literary awards and his work has been translated in over a dozen languages. As a songwriter and composer, he is also the creator of television and radio programs. He is currently the CEO of the Portuguese authors#146; society 'Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores.' Andre Letria is an artist and illustrator based in Portugal. His illustrations have appeared in numerous books and publications since 1992. He was awarded the Gulbenkian Award in 2004 (Portugal), the National Illustration Award in 2000 (Portugal), and the Award of Excellence for Illustration of the Society for New Design (U.S.

). His books have been published in the US, Italy, England, and Spain, and his work has been exhibited internationally. In 2010, he created Pato Logico Editions---a collaboration with his father, Jose Jorge Letria.
