A Commander of the British Empire Duke Johnathan McGregor must leave his home in England to command his group of troops to his native land of Scotland. Although he was born in Scotland he was raised in England. He has done all the missions his KIng has requested and this will be no different. He will assist the Laird of the Cammerons to defeat Viking raiders who have been pillaging their Laird's lands. Little does he know the Laird's niece is planning to make his life miserable. She is a beautiful but disobedient a spoiled and willful young lass who considers the presence of British troops an unnecessary and infuriating problem which she has begged her uncle, the Laird, for months not to not allow on Cammeron lands. She knows her Uncle is searching for a suitable suitor for her, but considers that a waste of time, she will not marry until she finds a man who will not treat her as if she were of no consequence. She has decided she will remain single living her life the way she prefers.
