Hye-oon Lee started tatting as a hobby to decorate her home while raising her two daughters. Shepublished her first book, Lovely Tatting: Doilies for Spring and Summer, on May 27, 2016, whichcontains many of her early patterns that she designed 20 years ago as well as patterns that shedesigned more recently. Her first book was inspired by the flowers that bloom during spring andsummer, while her second book drew from the transitional weather of fall and the magic of winter.Hye-oon continuously learns old and new tatting techniques to utilize in her patterns and createsmany variations of each pattern in the hope that other tatters will also enjoy them.
