Julie Lavender is an author and journalist with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Julie taught public school for several years before homeschooling her own four kiddos for more than twenty-five years. Julie's written elementary curriculum in a number of teacher resource books, over one thousand newspaper and magazine articles, several books for parents and children, a number of stories in compilations with other authors, and monthly posts for several homeschooling and parenting websites. Julie loves to bake and travel and enjoyed seeing many states in the US and places in other countries during the time her husband served as a Medical Entomologist for the United States Navy. Married to David for forty years, Julie and her hubby are the proud parents of four, in-laws of two, and grandparents to a precious four-year-old grandson.
