Patricia Gulino Lansky, L.C.S.W., is an engaging teacher, workshop leader, inspirational speaker, and author of Accepting Death, Embracing Life: How Death Teaches Us to Live. She is a licensed clinical social worker and an ordained Unity minister. In addition to her own personal journey through the loss of eight family members, Patricia's professional role for nearly forty years, as both a therapist in private practice and a minister, have given her the privilege of empowering others to move gracefully through the death and dying process. Patricia's stirring and emotional personal journey through the loss of eight family members assists readers in turning their fear of death and bereavement into an appreciation of living.

Patricia received her B.S in Speech and Drama from Ithaca College, M.A. in Theatre and Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Denver, and Master of Social Work from Barry University in Miami. She entered the Unity Seminary in 1999 and was ordained as a Unity minister in 2001. Patricia and her husband, Don, moved to Charlottesville, Virginia to serve as co-ministers at Unity of Charlottesville. Patricia devoted 20 years of ministry there, leaving behind a vibrant and thriving community of friends and congregants. She is a past president of the Association for the Advancement of Social Work with Groups (AASWG).

Patricia has been a sought-after speaker and presenter at churches and conferences and was a featured workshop presenter at the Parliament of World Religions on "Compassionate Grieving," in 2021.Patricia is passionate about health and wellness through prayer, meditation, using food as medicine, Eastern medicine's "five-element" theory, and making healthy lifestyle choices. She has been practicing Transcendental Meditation® since 1999.
