Project X Interactive Stories Reception/P1 CD-ROM contains six fantastic character stories from the Project X series, spanning pink, red and yellow book bands. Easy to navigate, the CD-ROM is extremely user-friendly and is suitable for: whole class work, guided/group reading, independent reading, and follow-up work.Each story is split into three sections: Talk, Read, and Explore. The Talk section activities - hot seat animations, video clips, images and audio - are designed to stimulate discussion about the characters, setting and plot of the story prior to reading. In Read, the book can be viewed using fabulous turn-the-page technology or run automatically. Each story is supported by accompanying audio (read by Rob Brydon), and is particularly suitable for children who may benefit from hearing the story being read aloud. In the Explore section, the stories are presented again, but without audio or animation. This allows you to explore the story in more detail where you can use the full range of software tools to:* Zoom in on sections of the text* Highlight, circle or underline text* Annotate the text with notes* Add speech or thought bubbles* Change whole sections of text.
