Rachel Khoo is an English chef, writer, and television personality. She moved to Paris from London in 2005 to enroll in the pastry program at Le Cordon Bleu, and she worked, catered, and taught at La Cocotte, a culinary bookstore and tea salon. She first received attention for her two early single-subject books with Marabout, as well as the underground restaurant she hosted in her tiny apartment in Paris' Belleville neighborhood, La Petite Cuisine a Paris, in order to test recipes for her book and television show, The Little Paris Kitchen. Her popular presence on the BBC television network has created a global following; thanks to the success of her television series also entitled 'The Little Paris Kitchen,' which airs on the Cooking Channel in the U.S. (Fridays at 12:30 p.m.).
In addition to her television and cookbook work, Rachel is a culinary consultant and events planner for corporations such as BMW, Molineaux, and Kraft. She is building out her Web platform into a site loaded with videos and shopping a new show in the UK and the US, The Kitchen Notebook. She divides her time between London and Stockholm.
